Natural Mark Making on Cloth

September 15 and 16, 2023.

Friday evening 6-8pm and Saturday 10-3.

Wynndel Arts Centre

- eco-printing (using leaves from here) in the “dirty pot”

 - rust printing and tannins

$100 includes materials and fabrics.

Provided: 1 silk scarf, 1 cotton bandana and 2 cotton tea towels.

Come and play:  No experience required. 

Only 10 spots. Pre-registration with payment is required.

Hermit Felt fibre classes...enter the world of fibre arts.

 

 

Carmen is passionate about all things fibre arts related but in particular with wet felting.  She has been making felt for 11 years and taken classes from internationally known felt makers such as Lyn Pflugeur, Marjolien Dalinga, Fiona Duthie, Andrea Graham, Marie Friese, Melissa Arnold, and Pam Degroot,     Students refer to her as a funny, engaging, patient and skilled teacher.

 Services:

Knitting help: email me and I can help on zoom, email or phone. In person if you live in the Creston Valley.  $30/hr. 

Knitting Classes: Look for scheduled classes in the fall.  Or if you have a group of people book a private class.  (minimum 3 people approx cost $10/person/hour depending upon project)

I am available for custom classes or private lessons.  From an introduction to wet felting to textures, surface design, nuno felt....  Or specific projects such as bags, slippers, wall hangings or backgrounds for needle felting.

Warning:  felt making is addictive and can lead to creation of scarves, rugs, coasters, pictures, wall hangings, window coverings, table runners, pillows, three dimensional objects like bags, hats, coats, mitts, jewellery, slippers, sculptures, pods and vessels; even as big as a yurt or Mongolian Ger.
